Our proactive dedication to environmental best practices begins with free provision of special plastic recycled collection tubs to place used laser, fax copier and ink jet cartridges inside. When the tub is full simply contact us and we will arrange for its collection and replacement. We provide these services free of charge.

We record the waste retrieved so you can receive positive publicity for the amount of waste your organisation has diverted from landfill. Some materials can be reused in their current form, and we have a preference for these applications as it preserves more of the planet’s limited resources. The cartridge waste that cannot be reused is then sorted, disassembled and cleaned. The metals are sorted from the plastics, which are then granulated and used for injection moulding processes to produce useful products such as park benches, plastic chairs, rulers and many other items.

Other companies have a preference to granulate all cartridge waste, and create alternative products. However we believe sound environmental best practices results in the basic tenet of reuse as this preserves more of our limited resources. When items in their current form cannot be reused, we then process these into other products.Reuse of cartridge shells provides greater competition in the market place and reduces cartridge prices as consumers have the choice to purchase lower cost remanufactured cartridges. If other companies managed to collect and destroy sufficient quantities of these products, this important industry would not survive and consumers would only be able to purchase the higher cost branded cartridges.

Some companies are happy to collect some cartridge waste, and can use some of this in its current form. However, it’s dubious whether they have the infrastructure and interest to ensure these materials are processed into other products. If they aren’t it stands to reason they will find their way to landfill.
